I’m Rick Shepherd, challenging Mark Amodei in the 2026 Republican Primary for Nevada’s 2nd District. Rejecting corruption in both parties. Endless wars, open borders, special-interest control (including AIPAC’s grip) have failed us. Billions flow to Israel amid Palestinian genocide and occupation while Americans struggle. Pro-Palestine, anti-AIPAC, anti-Zionist: end occupation, stop Gaza genocide, halt U.S. funding of Israeli apartheid. Amodei took pro-Israel money and voted for Israel aid.

I oppose Big Oil subsidies to save taxpayers billions and promote free-market competition, aligning with GOP fiscal responsibility. I advocate for secure borders to protect American jobs, safety, and sovereignty, upholding Republican national security principles. I reject special interests controlling our foreign policy who are not America First. I support clean energy through renewables, solar, batteries, and Liquid Fluoride Thorium Reactors (LFTR) for efficiency, resilience, domestic production, job creation, and energy independence—core GOP values for economic strength.

Independent, accountable only to Nevada voters. No special-interest cash, no AIPAC ties. Americans over foreign lobbies.

As a resident of Northern Nevada, I understand the challenges our communities face, including skyrocketing healthcare costs that leave families buried in medical debt.

Mark Amodei has consistently missed key votes in Congress, with a missed vote rate of 4.0% (double the median) often prioritizing special interests over constituent needs. His record shows spikes in absences during critical periods, failing to represent us when it matters most.

Our district deserves better than endless foreign entanglements and corporate giveaways. Amodei’s top donors include Sierra Nevada Corp, Meruelo Group, and AIPAC, funneling thousands to influence policy that favors defense contractors and foreign lobbies over American workers. My platform supports ending H-1B visa abuse that undercuts local jobs, securing our borders against illegal immigration, increasing legal immigration pathways, and deporting illegal immigrants while respecting the 1st Amendment rights of lawful residents to protected speech, as in the controversial 2025 detention and deportation proceedings against Mahmoud Khalil, a Columbia University graduate and pro-Palestine activist.
